About Me
My own life journey thus far has included living on 3 continents during various life stages and experiencing a diverse variety of people and situations which have led me to where I am now. I fully appreciate how daunting it can be to seek counselling but sometimes in life we all need a little help. Rest assured I am friendly, genuine and approachable. My aim is to demystify the counselling process and have a ‘caring conversation’ with you. I can provide you with a space that will be supportive, calm, kind, and reassuring; feeling that it is especially important for positive therapeutic outcome for me to facilitate building a genuine connection and to do my very best to ensure my Clients feel at ease.
I am aware that there are hundreds of websites out there offering counselling services and it may be overwhelming at times to choose, but my firm belief is that, for the therapeutic experience to be positive, it is of utmost importance that the Counsellor be able to combine competence and professionalism with warmth.
I am currently employed as a therapist by Relate and have undertaken additional specific Couples Counselling training with them. In addition, I run my own Private Practice, working with both individuals
as well as Couples. Together we can explore coping strategies for different situations or work on habits or behaviours you might like to change. I can provide assistance and guidance in resolving specific issues, or just talk through anything that you may be finding troubling or challenging. You do not have to present with declared goal/s in mind and often the focus of sessions will change as therapy progresses.
